OMG, that was AWESOME!!!! There was a house nearby last year who did a similar thing - they even had a radio station sponsor them and you tuned your radio to a station to get the music "live". This year, the house was dark. :( So your video thrilled me as I was going through withdrawal!

The midwest was indeed a "blast"....of very cold air! Windchills -38! Gotta tell ya, I luved it! Until I was out shooting photos one day and my fingers went totally numb - couldn't even turn off my camera! Painful as they thawed out but then none the worse for the wear. Actually it was beautiful out there. I did not get to see owls or any birds except at backyard feeders though...this trip was social - seeing friends and family and my outdoor activities were limited to to walks around parks, etc. There is a riverbank there I love to walk by and it was filled with huts for ice fishing - very "midwest", very lovely.

Getting back was a nightmare. Ever see the movie "Trains, Planes, and Automobiles"? It was like that - flights canceled - stuck in Chicago for 15 hours - it became comical in the end but I finally got home to Boston just in time for Christmas Eve. Life is Good! :D

Merry Christmas!

PS It was great to see everyone in Packer clothing, etc. (WI) Watching the game was painful though (Jets). I had just picked up a #4 Jersey too and was sure they would trounce those Seahawks. Well, there is still hope but it's going to be tough and I am going to have to hope my Pats lose to help Brett make those playoffs. It just CAN'T be Miami with CHAD - that would be AWFUL.
