Ivory Billed Woodpecker FOUND!

This morning an Ivory Billed Woodpecker was found lying on the ground by an IBWO scientist along the Choctawhatchee River in the Florida panhandle - a hot spot for Ivory billed's. So far reports are very brief on details but the bird has been positively identified as an Ivory billed woodpecker not the easily confused Pileated. Based on what I've been able to find the bird appears to be suffering from dehydration and is in stable condition at the moment.
As I find more info I will share it with you. WOW - what an exciting start to April!!
